Figured somebody has to make the first introduction, so I'll start.

I'm the guy behind RightToCarry. I've been involved with online firearm and Second Amendment communities for years, and I've watched what happens when a forum that once had an active community slowly stops being maintained.

Rather than complain about it forever, I decided to build something new.

RightToCarry isn't intended to focus exclusively on one method of carrying. Open carry, concealed carry, constitutional carry, firearm laws, court cases, training, equipment, self-defense and the Second Amendment all have a place here.

I'm also a believer in the old-school forum format. Social media is fine for scrolling through a feed, but it's terrible at preserving years of useful discussions and information. A good forum becomes a searchable reference as much as it becomes a community.

We're starting completely from zero, so those of you who arrive early are genuinely getting in at the beginning.

I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes.

Anyway, that's enough about the site.

For those new members joining this forum may know me from another open carry forum.
For those that don't know me - I'm old, crusty and self opinionated. I'm usually right; if I'm wrong I'll admit it.
And for those who jump to conclusions, I am NOT an attorney.
 
I just saw this on OCDO and thought I'd join and say Hello. I've been trying to use the username
across many forums. My wife will attest that I generally deserve my moniker!

Been a long while since I've joined any discussion forums such as this. It's like remembering how to use a rotary dial telephone.
 
Honestly, I almost shat bricks when I read Brian's first sentence, I'm like how the hell did a spammer get in here!!, oh wait, he's toying with us. LOL :ROFLMAO:
 
Mike, you’re a brave man. Don’t know if you’ve got more current tools to run a blog than 15 years ago, so hope so - gotta be new tech to make it easier to admin. After LTC has been rolled back to more CC in Texas - vs Mother May I? am not a felon so l am asserting my 2A rights w/o hindrance.

Glad to see PDJT47 took action-

U.S. District Judge James Hendrix in Texas said the rules for purchasing a silencer, short-barreled rifle, short-barreled shotgun and other certain other firearms must fall after the Republican-controlled Congress and President Donald Trump eliminated a $200 permit tax on the devices. The Justice Department opted not to appeal the judge's decision.

First time in 30 years I’m gonna have my Christmas gift list under the Tree for my wife of what I want….

I'm not really sure what you are referring to in reference to more current tools/blog/15 years ago?? LTC?
