Remington Core-Lokt 300 HAMR - Now Shipping

The Remington Core-Lokt bullet is legendary, and has been around for what seems like forever (since 1939), and now it is being made for an extremely infant cartridge in the respectable 300 HAMR. With its tapered copper jacket that is mechanically locked-in-place to a solid lead core to consistently deliver up to 2-times the expansion (two times the width of the original bullet), you also get deep penetration and best-in-class weight retention upon impact. These new Core-Lokt 300 HAMR rounds will be available in standard 20-count boxes with an attainable MSRP of $37.99 per box.

A Word from Remington on their Core-Lokt 300 HAMR

“Lonoke, Arkansas - September, 2026 - Remington Ammunition announces the expansion of its trusted Core-Lokt rifle ammunition line with a new centerfire rifle offering in 300 HAMR. Now shipping to dealers nationwide, Core-Lokt’s new 300 HAMR 130-grain, Pointed Soft Point load brings the proven performance of “The Deadliest Mushroom in the Woods” to even more modern hunting platforms.

“The .300 HAMR has become highly popular with hunters because it provides .30-30 ballistics with a lot less recoil than a .308 from a standard, lightweight AR-15 modern sporting rifle,” said Kris Carson, Remington’s Centerfire Product Director. “By expanding the line into new, highly demanded chamberings like 300 HAMR, we are giving today’s hunters more ways to rely on a bullet they have trusted for generations.””
