Canik Prime Radian – What Does the Radian Setup Actually Change?

The Canik Prime Radian takes the METE MC9 Prime platform and adds several Radian Weapons components from the factory.

The biggest additions are the Radian RAMJET barrel and AFTERBURNER micro-compensator. The system redirects gases through the compensator to reduce muzzle rise and help the pistol return to target faster between shots.

The Prime Radian also receives Radian's aluminum BACKSTRAP + MAGWELL system. The backstrap changes the feel of the grip while the magwell provides a larger opening for magazine insertion.

The rest of the package includes a flat-faced aluminum trigger with a 90-degree break, an optics-ready slide and Night Fision tritium sights.

Capacity is 17+1, and Canik ships the pistol with two 17-round magazines. MSRP is $899.99.

The interesting part of the Prime Radian is that these aren't aftermarket modifications added by the owner. The Radian components are installed as part of the factory configuration.

For someone already considering an MC9 Prime, does the factory Radian setup justify stepping up to the Prime Radian?
