Getting Dialed In
I haven't been able to access open carry . org for the last few days. Nothing wrong at my end. Anyone else?
Maybe the spam and other junk finally choked out the site?

I've been noticing the same issue getting more frequent every day now. Without seeing the backend of that forum, I could guess all day long what's wrong. One thing I do know is, we are both running the same forum software (XenForo) but I can tell his software isn't the current version unlike this forum that is current.

I guess the only reason I go back over there is to see if the site is still functioning and if the sheriff pulled my post down yet. Any other forum, that would have been gone in 10 mins and my account banned.

Glad you folks found your way over here.

My concern is there is still a lot of good and relevant info on OCDO's website and I would hate for all of that to just vanish. I have never been able to get John to appoint someone to take over Grapeshot's duties after his passing. Fortunately or unfortunately YouTube and Facebook has dominated this subject matter. When I respond, or if I respond, I may use what I have already posted on OCDO. The benefit of a forum is a more in-depth Discussion of whatever is being discussed. YouTube and Facebook offers none of that. And as for Ohio you got nothing.

Unfortunately, there is no sure way to export a user's posts etc like you can do with a Facebook account. Typical forum rules dictate, whatever you post becomes the property of the forum. If the forum closes its doors, there goes your work.

You are more than welcome to copy whatever posts of yours you feel are important. Obviously thread continuity would be lost without the other responses. At least there is opportunity here for others to chime in.

In reference to Ohio, just like the other states, nothing's there yet because nobody's started it. Feel free to be the first! I invite everyone to contribute/post up whatever they feel is relevant. Find an article online you find interesting, share it here. The more threads/posts the better. Google indexes this forum regularly, and the more content there is, the more people find us through search.
