Red, green or gold: Lodestar Technology has put the choice of reticle color into the LNK9 lineup. The LNK9 now comes in three new optics configurations, with a 2 MOA Green, Red or Gold Dot reticle. The new options give owners more say over the sight picture, while keeping the features, performance and secure-access technology at the core of the platform.

CEO Shawn Campbell frames the expansion as a natural extension of the LNK9's philosophy that firearm owners should have greater control over how they access and configure their pistol. A customer who prefers a red, green or gold reticle can choose "the configuration that works best for them," and the experience and technology that define the LNK9 stay the same.

That technology is what sets the LNK9 apart. It is a semi-automatic 9mm built around Lodestar's secure-access system, which gives authorized users the option of biometric or PIN pad access. User management runs through the Lodestar mobile app. Biometric credentials are stored locally on the pistol, so the core authentication functionality works without the cloud or an outside network. The rest of the platform is built to feel familiar. The LNK9 has a 4.02-inch barrel, a polymer composite frame and a compact slide on a full-size frame. Magazine capacity is 17 or 10 rounds, and a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny accessory rail is available. The magazine release is reversible, InfoLights status indicators show what the pistol is doing, and an inductive charging system keeps the electronics powered.

Lodestar designs and builds the LNK9 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Product development, manufacturing, testing, warehousing and distribution all sit in one location. The new 2 MOA Green, Red and Gold Dot configurations are sold through authorized FFL dealers, distributors and the Lodestar website for direct-to-consumer sales.
