Most people heard “Hobbs vetoes gun bills” and moved on. Here’s what was actually in the package:

  • SB 1012: Concealed carry in restaurants for permit holders who aren’t drinking, overriding “no guns” signs.
  • SB 1053: Cheaper concealed-weapons permits for Arizona residents, which Hobbs vetoed on the grounds that cutting fees without replacement money would defund the DPS unit that runs the permit program. azcdl
  • SB 1068: Would have barred universities and community colleges from banning concealed carry by permit holders or blocking locked-vehicle storage. nraila
  • SB 1069: Would have removed suppressors from Arizona’s prohibited weapons list to match federal law. nraila

Which of these do you think has the best shot if it comes back next session?
